You feed your heart with poems,
Every line of your songs
Is a piece torn from your life,
You who so love
The evangelical sweetness of the sea,
The hammered-out hymns of larks
And the timid grace of robins.
How dear to me
Is your writing, so lofty and noble!
O Poetry,
A treasure of light
Buried in the breasts
Of illuminated beings!

That God looks at the world

Shining eyes!
